Launch Congregational Profile Inventory

March 30, 2009 by

Yesterday we launched our congregational profile.

In our search for a pulpit minister it is important that the search committee has an understanding of the needs of our congregation as well as the expected role of our pulpit minister and his ministry style. This inventory will provide us with the answers to these questions. Every baptized member of our congregation should complete the inventory. Your input is vital in this process of finding our next pulpit minister.

INSTRUCTIONS: The Congregational Profile Inventory (CPI) will be available both in a print version and an online version. Complete either the print version or the online version, but do not complete both. It should take approximately 30 minutes to complete the inventory.

Minister Prospectus

March 29, 2009 by

We have finished our minister prospectus. This document gives us a snapshot glance at our congregation. It is available for us to look at to understand ourselves better. It is also created to help potential ministers understand who we are as a congregation. Any questions or inquiries can be directed to John Huber.

Congregation Survey

January 25, 2009 by

On February 1st and 8th the Pulpit Minister Search Committee will begin gathering information for our congregational profile. Members of the committee will be located in the foyer on both Sundays. One profile sheet should be filled out per family unit and immediately turned back in. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

General Plan

January 14, 2009 by

On the first Sunday in October, Bob announced his resignation as our pulpit minister effective December 31, 2008. At that time the elders began making plans for a transition to a new minister. In November a search committee/transition team was announced. As part of the transition Charles Sibert was asked to visit with our congregation and provide us assistance during this time of change. A dinner honoring Bob and Rosemary will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 5:00 pm in the fellowship hall.

The search committee had its first meeting on January 4, 2009 to begin the transition to a new pulpit minister. At this time the committee is preparing a membership profile survey to gather demographic information about our membership. This survey should be ready to distribute by the first of February. This will be followed by a congregation inventory in which we will gather information about the perceived needs of our congregation. Once these surveys are completed, the committee will develop a staffing need for our congregation and a profile of the type of pulpit minister that will meet our needs. We will then begin our search for our next minister. A tentative timetable for the search process was distributed at the congregation meeting on January 11, 2009. Please keep the search committee and the elders in your prayers as we journey through this time of opportunity.
